Kali Gandaki Valley was the main trading route with Tibet and the system of lodges and teahouses here is well developed. The Thakali people who inhabit kali Gandaki area are renowned for their hospitality and for being obliging hosts. your trekking trail follows the Kali Gandaki River valley from the Hindu lowlands in the south to the Buddhist villages and people in the upper valley. At Tukuche you head off the main trail and head to the spectacular Dhaulagiri icefall where you are treated to superb views of the icefall and across the deep valley to Annapurna. As you continue north towards Mustang and Tibet the scenery changes dramatically, the landscape becoming much drier and the riverbed widening. At Muktinath you have time to explore the famous Hindus and Buddhist temples and make an excursion to the base of Throng La Pass before descending to your treks end at Jomsom and a spectacular mountain flight to Pokhara.
Detail Itinerary,
Day 1: Kathmandu (1310m/4298ft) Our airport representative will be received you at the airport and transfer to Hotel. It is 7km and takes about 10 minutes. Overnight at hotel, B.B plan Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sight Seeing & Permit making process After breakfast beautiful "Kathmandu Valley" sight seeing. This day we visit Shwoyambhunath Stupa, Baudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Patan Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel, B.B plan Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (910m). Our Trekking guide will come at the Hotel an early morning at 6:30 am to pick you up and we walk from hotel about 10 minutes to get bus station.Our bus leave at 7 am to Pokhara.We drive to Pokhara by tourist bus, enjoying an afternoon sightseeing on the lakeside and boating at Phewa lake. From Kathmandu to Pokhara, it is about 206km and it takes 7 hours. O/N at Hotel Day 4: Drive to Nayapul (1050m) and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1577m) Breakfast.then drive by car from Pokhara to Nayapul. Drive one and half hours. Then trek starts from Nayapul to Tikhedhunga via Birethanti (1065m.) which takes about 4 hours. O/N at hotel. Day 5: Trek from Tikhedhunga To Ghorepani (2850m) This is a pleasant walking day today. We trek through rhododendron and oak forests and across streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti. From Nangethanti we head up to Ghorepani. 5:30 hours. O/N at hotel. Day 6: Panoramic view including the Fishtail( Machhapuchhare) ,Annapurna I ,Annapurna south, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli and overnight at Shikha (1920m). Day 7: Trek to Tatopani / Hot spring (1179m) Day 8: Trek to Ghasa (2013m). Day 9: Trek to Larjung (2543m) Day 10: Trek to Marpha (2676m). Day 11: Trek to Eklebhatti (2832m). Day 12: Trek to Kagbeni (2840m). Day 13: Trek to Muktinath (3802m). Day 14: Muktinath Temple excursion in the morning and overnight at Jomsom (2713m). Day 15: Jomsom to Pokhara by flight. Day 16: Rest day at Pokhara. Overnight at hotel. Day 17 Drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus. Seven hours driving. O/N at Hotel. Day 18: Kathmandu Rest day at Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel. B.B Plan. Day 19: Kathmandu Rest day at Kathmandu. Surprise dinner party. Overnight at hotel. B.B Plan.
